  Jane O'Neill, Director Art Aficionado Tours

Since receiving an Honours Degree in Fine Arts from Sydney University in 1995, O’Neill has established herself as an active participant in the Australian contemporary art community. She has curated more than 30 contemporary exhibitions throughout Australia and regularly writes catalogue essays and articles. In 2012 she launched a book of essays entitled Austral Avenue: an experiment in living with art and in 2016 she worked collaboratively with artist Sarah crowEST to launch Fabrik – a three venue exhibition in Melbourne with accompanying catalogue. Jane has worked in a professional capacity in the arts in a variety of roles and is currently employed by the Art Series Hotel Group as the in-house curator, the first role of its kind in Australia. As director of Art Aficionado Tours, Jane has hosted tours on behalf of the Art Series Hotel Group, Fringe Festival, Moreland City Council, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Tourism Australia and Tourism Victoria.

Andrew Gaynor is a writer, researcher and freelance Curator whose area of special interest is Australian modernism 1915-1970. He has held curatorial positions at key institutions including the Art Gallery of Western Australia, the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, the City of Boroondara, and the McClelland Gallery+Sculpture Park. He has curated exhibitions on Helen Maudsley, Louise Hearman, Guy Grey-Smith, Howard Taylor, Australian historical cartoons, Robert Jacks and many others. Selected writings include the first monograph on the West Australian artist Guy Grey-Smith (UWA Publishing, 2012); the introduction to the monograph on Trevor Vickers (WA Art Collective, 2016); numerous artist essays and critiques, including thirty for the internationally renowned Allgemeines Küstlerlexikon; and research support to David Thomas for his forthcoming catalogue raisonne of Rupert Bunny. Andrew holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Art History (University of Melbourne), has been an exhibiting artist, worked for commercial galleries, co-founded artist studios, managed artist-run initiatives, edited publications and, from 2011 to 2012, was the CEO for the Australian Commercial Galleries Association. He has been hosting tours for Art Aficionados since 2009.

Danielle Hakim is an artist, curator and writer. She has exhibited in a number of artist run spaces including Bus Projects, West space, Dud space, Blindside and Moana Ari She was an artist in residence at Mes 56 in Yogyakarta and at RMIT for their annual print imaging practice fundraiser in 2013. Danielle has also been involved with a number of art spaces including Mailbox Art Space which she coordinated in collaboration with Estelle Joannou from 2014-2015 and Death Be Kind interning for the duration of the project 2009-2011.

Curatorial Projects include: Femail Art:Pat Larter (Mailbox Art Space 2015) co-curated with Steven Miller, small print (Mailbox Art Space 2015) co-curated with Emily Castle and Smoking Gun (Death Be Kind, 2011) co-curated with Elvis Richardson and Claire Lambe. Danielle was also a research assistant for the exhibition and publication The Rest is Silence (Death Be Kind Exhibition, 2011, Book, 2012) and was Associate Producer for the festival AS IF: 40 Years & Beyond - Celebrating the Women’s Art Register.

She is currently Co-convenor of the Women’s Art Register alongside Sally Northfield.
